Jean-Marie Tarascon receives the CNRS gold medal
Chemist and pioneer of electrochemical energy storage.
Jean-Marie Tarascon's work meets a major challenge: inventing new, more efficient, secure and ecological technologies for tomorrow's energy storage. His research has applications today in electric vehicles, portable electronic devices and renewable energy storage.
Jean-Marie Tarascon heads the Solid State Chemistry and Energy Laboratory - UMR 8260 (CNRS/Collège de France/Sorbonne University) and the Electrochemical Energy Storage Network - RS2E. He is also a professor at the Collège de France.
